DAY 1 - BANGKOK TO BARGE CRUISE
Transfer from Bangkok to the Manohra and set off along the Chao Phraya River for Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn. After exploring this historical site, continue on to the Royal Barges National Museum and see the most magnificent collection of finely decorated boats in Thailand. Spend the afternoon observing life on the river’s edge. You will spend the next two nights aboard the Manohra.
DAY 2 - BARGE CRUISE
This morning make merits with the monks of Wat Samakee, and after breakfast cruise up the Chao Phraya River through lush Thai countryside to Wat Pananchoen, an old monastery housing Thailand’s largest ancient Buddha image. Be driven by limousine to Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the ancient capital of Thailand before viewing the Wat Niwet Thammaprawat, a distinctive Buddhist temple built unusually in the style of an English Gothic Church.
DAY 3 - BARGE CRUISE TO BANGKOK
Today enjoy a tour of Wat Niwet Thammaprawat and the Summer Palace at Bang Pa In before departing for the Bang Sai Royal Folk Arts and Crafts centre. Here you can see the many regional styles of arts and crafts including silk flowers, fern basketry and miniature hand modelled dolls. Rejoin the Manohra and cruise back to Bangkok.
