DAY 1 - MEKHALA CRUISE
Begin your journey by cruising along the Chao Phraya River, whilst observing the Grand Palace, the Temple of Dawn and the fascinating rural life that surrounds. After a delightful lunch on board, disembark at Pathum Thani, where an authentic market greets you with a selection of locally fresh fruit, confectionary and flowers. Explore the Buddhist temple of Wat Kai Tia, hidden away in a quiet village, before enjoying a candlelit dinner on deck.
DAY 2 - MEKHALA CRUISE/DEPART
Arrive at the quaint village of Baan Saladang, occupied by the Mon Tribal community since the early 19th Century. Observe traditional Mon living that has been passed through generations in the hope of keeping their culture alive. Return to the barge for breakfast, before departing for Ba-Pa-In in the early afternoon. Here, the Summer Palace awaits, enveloped by manicured landscape gardens and stunning, tranquil waters. Continue by long-tail boat to arrive at the contemporary Krungsri River Hotel in Ayutthaya for lunch.
