Those taking Thailand holidays in June or July will be able to watch performances from international musicians at the River Jazz Festival 2012.

The event will take place at Asiatique The Riverfront venue in Bangkok on June 30 and July 1.

People attending the event can relax to the live sounds of the Glenn Miller Orchestra and Fourplay – both acclaimed acts – while taking in the scenery of the Chao Phraya River.

On the first day of the festival, the Glenn Miller Orchestra will perform their versions of classic songs including Tuxedo Junction and Moonlight Serenade, while Koh Mr Saxman – a local act – will play as the support act.

Lisa Ono, the Japanese/Brazilian bossa nova singer, will showcase her talents on day two, while modern jazz artists Fourplay will perform, along with Thai singer Ben Chalatit and jazz orchestra The Quartet.

Acts will begin at 7.30pm, local time, everyday. Those taking luxury holidays to the area can buy tickets for 1,500 baht, or £30.20 for one day.

To attend the whole festival during your Thai trip, a ticket will cost 2,500 baht.

Visitors to Asiatique The Riverfront during the event will also see there are a number of shops and restaurants in the area to visit.
