On the fine art trail in Thailand

24/02/2012

Thailand holidays provide something for everyone, whether you’re interested in the country’s fascinating history or just taking a bit of time out on an empty beach.

But for those interested in art, an event at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre may be of more appeal.

A discussion led by Charles Saumarez Smith from London’s Royal Academy of Arts will be held on February 28. The talk will examine the iconic academy’s history.

The event, entitled Past, Present And Future, will commence at 2.30pm local time. Admission is free of charge.

The academy has worked tirelessly to further arts throughout the world since it was established in 1768 by King George III.

Whether you’re interested in art or purely luxury holidays, Thailand has much to offer.
