Phuket to see ‘flying wedding’

02/02/2012

There are some extreme ways to tie the knot, and falling out of a plane to land on a Phuket beach next to your bride is definitely up there with the wildest.

At an air show on the Thai island later this month, Finnish skydiver Jari Kuosma will fly from the sky down to his bride-to-be on Surin beach.

The extreme wedding will be the climax of the White Sand and Blue Sky Air Show, on February 25th, which is set to be a big event.

Acrobatic displays will take place on Kamala beach and a large crowd is set to attend. The wedding itself will be open to anyone who has watched the show.

Also in Phuket this month is a charity rubber duck race, which takes place on February 5th at Laguna Phuket’s Latitude marquee, if people want something a little slower paced.

Phuket is one of the main attractions of Thai holidays where people can find both the extremes – such as flying to a wedding – and the more laidback experience of luxury holidays.
